The candidate will be accountable for domestic operations for clients in shared services environment, for Logistics back office operations.
Ensure effective implementation of all accounting policies and procedures to maintain a strong internal control environment.
Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day financial reporting requirements of the India organization and will be required to review, analyze and interpret both India financial statements and India Statutory financial statements.
Manage accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy solution.
Supervise and manage current shared service team to ensure invoices and expense reports are processed for the Company in a timely manner.
Provide direction and assistance the India organization regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control & utilization of financial resources.
Lead person from the India accounting organization on cross-functional projects.
Manage the tax function: Direct and indirect tax, secretarial and ensure all legal and statutory requirements are complied with for India.
Understanding basics of group tax position for India. Monitors all taxes that apply.
Manages 3rd party advisors (i.e. legal, tax, etc.) to ensure they meet our client's objectives.
Skill Matrix 1) The candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
