Job Description :

  • The Sr. Delivery Manager (DM-2) role is responsible for overall day-to-day management and implementation of complete projects/smaller parts of larger projects within a functional area. This role is the first point of accountability for the overall management of projects, manages expectations, and tracks progress of all parties.
  • The key responsibilities of the DM role include creating detailed project plans, managing risks and budgets, delivering on targets, and planning and executing on iterations. As part of the overall project management responsibility, DM consults with the onsite counterparts on capacity, resource management, project planning and tracking, and risk management.
  • This role participates in short and long-term systems planning, may be accountable for the delivery of multiple projects at a time, and manages a team of 10-15+ team members.

Experience : 12yrs to 15yrs

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 12+ years of work experience including:
  • Experience in managing one or more projects having a team of 10-15 members
  • 5+ years of experience working in the required domain/service area
  • Proficient in coaching others
  • Proficient with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Mastery of Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Single or multiple service business knowledge

KRAs:

  • Perform high-level assessment of the business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements of the project.
  • Perform an Initial Project Feasibility (ROI, Business Case) analysis.

Project Planning :

  • Prepare a detailed project plan/work breakdown structure that includes functional and activity decomposition matrix for all new projects and key milestones for each phase of the SDLC.
  • Prepare complete project estimates and maintain the status.
  • Prepare all project reports and matrices to be presented to SDM/Group Manager/Senior Group Manager.
  • Review the Project status (including scope, estimation, effort, schedule, change request, staffing, and quality) on periodical basis. Discuss with onsite team, raise questions to seek clarity.
  • Collate post project comments documented by onsite and offshore teams.
  • Review and analyze post project comments.
  •  Act as a SPOC between onsite and offshore team for all given projects.
  •  Communicate regularly with development team, testing team, Technical Leads, and Project Leads about project status including development changes, scheduling, and quality goals.

Qualifications:

  • B.Tech or B.E or Masters Degree in Engineering/Computer Applications 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 12+ years of work experience including
  • Experience in managing one or more projects having a team of 10-15 members.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the required domain/service area.
  • Proficient in coaching others.
  • Proficient with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
