Job Description

  • Manages a team of software professionals including but not limited to engineers, architects, technical writers and technical consultants who are responsible for delivering results over many areas of the software lifecycle: design, developing, debugging, validating, and optimization,
    customer engagement and product support.
  • This might include systems software, drivers, high performance computing, development tools,
    enterprise applications, consumer applications or user interfaces.
  • Also be required to provide architectural and technical guidance, and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed.
  • Provides direction and goals to the group and interacts with stakeholders both internal and external.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or IT or equivalent.
  • The candidate should have 9-13 years of experience in the IT industry with 1-2 years of experience in leading the Development and QA teams.
  • Should have managed or actively worked on one UI Project/Product Implementation.
  • Experience in Java, J2EE, UNIX, Java UI, HTML, and Java Scripting in highly desired.
  • Experience or exposure to QA lifecycle, and QA Processes is highly desired.
  • Good understanding and experience on automation and scripting languages such as Python or Perl and UI Automation Frameworks is highly desired.
  • Ability to identify risks and issues and communicate risks along with mitigations in a timely manner
  • Ability to have good cross team and cross site communication.
  • Extensive knowledge of the SCRUM or Agile Methodology is a strong plus.
  • Able to ensure that all aspects of a product building and release are considered and achieved- lots of cross team and cross site communication
  • Excellent project management skills. Able to track risks and issues and
  • communicate in a timely manner to management.
