Infosys Interview Process for Freshers

Infosys goes to various campus for hiring freshers. In 2015, it is going to various colleges. It is no longer only a bulk hiring company. It gave a package of 10 lakh plus to a student in one of the reputed NITs. However it selected only one candidate for that role. In most of the campus, it gives approx 3.5 to 4 lakh. The range would vary for different role. When it conducts an of-campus interview, it prefers students from the famous colleges around Bangalore, PSG Tech, Anna University, SRM etc.

Criteria: MCA, B.Tech

Package: 3.5 to 4 lakh

Designation: Software Engineer

Address: Plot No.44 Hosur Main Road, Electronics City, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560100

The interview for several positions is taken by the hiring force of Infosys in there different departments specially opened for walk-in and hiring. Office departments are located in:

  1. Koramangala, Bangalore
  2. P. Nagar, III Phase, Bangalore

The Interview in Infosys is basically for 5 Rounds as such below:

  1. Aptitude Test
  2. Group Discussion
  3. Technical Round
  4. HR Round
  5. Induction and Verification Of documentations.

Aptitude Test:

In this round it will be a sectional cut-off so you must prepare accordingly. Advice can be to attend the easy questions first so that at least you can cross the limit of marks easily. The Total marks of this test depend upon the designation applying for. It is divided into 3 sections:

Section A: Reasoning (easy level)

  • Questions on Data Interpretation.
  • Questions on Syllogism.

Section B: Quantitative (Level difficult)

  • Questions on time, speed, distance.
  • Questions on cryptography.
  • Questions in probability.
  • Puzzle based questions.

Section C: Verbal based (Moderate Level)

  • Fill in the blanks with proper types of noun and pronoun.
  • Comprehension questions.
  • Formation of questions and sentences.
  • Select a right word.

Group Discussion:

In this round you will be divided in a group of 6-10 persons (depending on the total number of participants). A topic on Current Affair or Latest Topic will be given. It could be related to Software Engineering too. Some topics could be

– IOT (Internet of Things): Are we ready

– How to work in a team in College Projects

Technical Round:

It will be last round and a difficult round to clear up. It will be at least for half an hour individually per candidate. The final round carries the question below:

  • Speak about your college projects or company projects you have worked on?
  • Why did you choose to make a project using asp.Net and language C, C++?
  • Have your ever worked or done anything in coding?
  • What Software Engineering Methodology are you familiar with
  • Which is a better model, Agile or Waterfall model?
  • Are you familiar with RFID? Infosys supports lot of clients on RFID Techniques
  • Do you have any exposure to IOT (Internet of Things)
  • Explain the types of testing?
  • Difference between C and C++?

HR Round:

This round checks your fitment in the company; why they must take you forward?  HR question can be as such below:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Explain me about your strengths and weaknesses?
  • Why do you want to work with our company?
  • Are you comfortable working in a night shift?
  • Can you relocate or what is your location preference?
  • What are your career plans for right now or next coming 5 years?
  • Talk something about our company position and what are we into the market?

Induction and documentations process:

After successfully completing your interview for the last hiring process you will be asked to walk down for the campus finally for the company induction and back ground verification. You need to carry all the original documents of your address proof, qualification documents of 10th, PUC and Degree, a good copy of resume, and passport size photos of yourself.

Once you are given the offer, you might be asked to go to Mysore for training. After the training, they will give you a joining location which could be Bangalore or Delhi NCR. The campus of Mysore is awesome and so is Bangalore.
