Some companies offer internship along with the placement in college campus. Normally, final year MCA students are allowed to do internship in the industry. However they would also need to report back to the college to give status report on what they are working upon. They might need to visit the college for mid-term viva where they give a synopsis of the project. Finally, they need to submit a detailed report after completing the project. They would need to submit the report and also give a small presentation to the project guide.

These are some tips to make the project report:

  1. Finalize the template for making the project report. Talk to your seniors. Get the details from your project co-ordinator. There would be lot of rework if you do not get the template before hand
  2. Find out the exact requirement during the demo. If you are making an Android/iOS app, it’s advisable to have a working demo on your smart phone. Sometimes the data, product or client’s name might be confidential so do not divulge that information.
  3. Try to write about the company and their business. Your project guide will be keen to know about that. It will be nice that your college also comes to know what is going on in the industry
  4. As you are doing internship in a company, so make the report in a professional way. Try to add details related to Software Methodology, Project Management, Testing, Project Documentation etc.
  5. Add screen shot of the product wherever possible.

The report will be Suitable for BCA/B.Tech student too.
