Women who wanted to put their experiences and idea to productive use have started their own businesses and are raising their kids as well have found ways to blend being a nurturing caring parents and be equally enthusiastic and innovative businesswomen.

Don’t try to be a Supermom

Women have the tendency to take on a lot and then strive to be perfect at all the tasks at hand. We have to realise and accept that it’s next to impossible.

You cannot focus on every aspect of your child and home and work. So let it go, take on what is within your capacity. Don’t let guilt and the feeling of helplessness get the better of you, know that you are doing the best you can, and you can’t do no more.

There will be good days and bad, there will be times you will question your decisions, during these times you have to remind yourself why you are doing this work and what is your driving force. Wake Up Early

Try and sleep earlier as well, you don’t want lack of sleep affecting your energy levels and your focus the next day, which you will require in ample during the course of the day.

Minimise Distractions

If you want to get work done and do it well, you will have to dedicate time to your work. You might have to find a quiet corner or just shut the door and get the work done. You need to get the family also use to the idea that work is an important part of your life and requires your 100% attention at times.

 

Outsource Cooking or Plan Your Meals a Week in Advance

Cooking takes up a significant amount of time in a day and with kids you have to make sure the meals are nourishing and healthy. Preparing three meals a day will keep you in the kitchen for hours, so the best way to deal with this is pre-prepare your meals for the week in advance, for example, chop up all the veggies you would or you can simply hire a cook.

 

Get the Kids Involved

This is a good way to keep your children engaged while they are home and you have work to do. Give them small tasks and reward them when they complete the work you gave them. Not only does this keep them busy and out of your hair for a while but also you are inculcating very valuable life lessons and preparing them for the real world. You just might be grooming a future entrepreneur at home.

 

Reward yourself with a Little ‘Me Time’ regularly

It also works to assign yourself a couple of hours where you go headlong into your work and wind up as much as possible in those few hours and then reward yourself with a break. Go out, meet up friends over a cup of coffee or go for walk in the park, anything that will help you ease your mind and de-stress. Then get back to work.

 

Proper Sleep and Good Health are a Must

Even if you pride yourself in being a supermom, you do need to sleep. Juggling work and home can take a toll on your health; just sleeping in late on the weekends to catch up on some much deserved sleep is a good idea to keep your stress levels under control and your body and mind in good health. Make sure to incorporate healthy food and an exercise routine in your daily routine. .
